New Thunderbolts* Photos Provide A Closer Look At MCU"s Upcoming Team 5 Months Before The Marvel Movie Releases

New stills from Thunderbolts* have been released, teasing the story of the Marvel Cinematic Universe"s new team. One of the biggest complaints about the Multiverse Saga has been the lack of character interactions, which is led by the absence of an Avengers team. Thunderbolts*"s star-studded cast will help solve that problem in 2025, a year before the next Avengers movie will be released. Thunderbolts* brings back both fan-favorite and obscure characters from different corners of the MCU, with Julia Louis-Dreyfus" mysterious Valentina Allegra de Fontaine uniting them. Now, Valentina"s story has been teased alongside a new look at Thunderbolts*.
Entertainment Weekly has released new Thunderbolts* images that show Bucky Barnes capturing the team and more. The first image seems to follow the Thunderbolts* trailer moment where Bucky is seen on a motorcycle trying to catch the Thunderbolts. Other images feature Valentina in a military-like HQ, as well as a new look at the Thunderbolts" talk with Valentina in what used to be Avengers Tower and a new shot of the team together that also features Lewis Pullman"s Bob. Bucky capturing the characters serves as an interesting tease for the story of Marvel"s Thunderbolts*, with more details revealed by Julia Louis-Dreyfus. Check out the images below:
Close What The New Thunderbolts* Reveals Mean For The MCU Movie Bucky Barnes And Valentina Play Integral Roles Close Most of the Thunderbolts* images reveal very little about the movie, but one stands out. After the Thunderbolts* trailer showed Sebastian Stan"s Bucky Barnes chasing after the team, one of the new images reveals that he manages to capture some of the team"s members. Included are Yelena Belova, Red Guardian, U.S. Agent, and Ghost. This fits with a past announcement by Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige, who said that Bucky Barnes would be the field leader of the Thunderbolts. It seems Bucky will be working with Valentina Allegra de Fontaine, who might be who he is calling in the image.
Julia Louis-Dreyfus went in-depth on her character"s role in Thunderbolts* with Entertainment Weekly. According to the MCU star, Val is "in it to win it." A lot of her backstory will be revealed in Thunderbolts*. After having appeared in multiple MCU projects, Dreyfus teases that Valentina"s "entire plan" will unfold in the MCU movie. The actress also settled on "anti-villain" as Val"s label, with her intentions not being "necessarily pure." Some of Val"s earlier plans will also be shown in the film, making fans understand her motivations. Val is "a user of anti-heroes," so she could be using Bucky too.
